Eight years ago, Andy moved to work at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, drawn by the area’s reputation as a cyclist’s paradise. A lifelong cycling enthusiast, he hoped Ningbo’s countryside would live up to his high expectations — and it exceeded them.

With over 30 years of experience leading cycling groups in both the UK and China, including as a Sky Ride tour leader (for the community program, not the professional team!), Andy brings deep local knowledge, a passion for adventure, and a commitment to creating unforgettable rides.

Cycle Support

With 25 years of riding experience and over 15 years deeply involved in the cycling community and industry, Yedang is at the heart of Ningbo’s cycling scene. As the owner of Ningbo Cycle Club, he has competed in more than 200 amateur races and helped organize five major cycling events.

Passionate, dedicated, and always ready to share his love of cycling, Yedang ensures every BambooBikeTrails journey runs smoothly and safely.

Manager

Sophie, with a PhD in Intercultural Studies, brings a wealth of international experience to BambooBikeTrails. Having studied and taught in the UK, the US, and now back in China, she has a deep understanding of how to connect people from diverse backgrounds.

A bilingual Chinese-English speaker and a lover of the great outdoors, Sophie’s attention to detail helps ensure every trip runs smoothly and creates lasting memories for everyone.
